active silence

hi again!

we have been very quiet lately but not at all inactive. our lives have moved from one apartment to another and traveled to remote parts of the planet…however, during that time, we have had our needles/sewing machine in our hands.

one very nice work was for a friend and her friends in Helsinki who order to the pullover several crocheted shoes. Thank you all!*

Give a color touch to the winter

now i can say that knitting has became an addiction to me. it relaxes me. it helps me to think and focus. i enjoy to work with colors and textures. i do things to myself but the best it is to do things for friends and family. Some months ago I found a nice yarn with many colors which sent me a very warm feeling. In that moment, I knew that yarn will be a hat and mittens. they are available in Etsy now: Winter kit: multicolor winter hat and mittens. the perfect present for a friend or for yourself.

we met almost 10 years ago. it was not a good start. i can still remember those days full of tears when i walk around your streets. even though i promised not to come back, you called me some how. you were patient and showed me many of your secrets. the melancholic rain, the smell of coffee, the sleepless light. we have learnt to like each other in a way that nobody understands.

i always come to (.)mbar. one of my favorite places. I love to sit down for hours with a coffee and enjoy the music, the people, the city.

cookie time

Today I finished my work late but still i had some time to get to the shop and buy yarn. Then I thought that during the whole day i wanted to eat a cookie and drink a cappuccino. So, i went to a very small coffee place in the center called Kaneli. I did some crochet, listen to some music, and i put my worries away for few minutes. Hope you had also a cookie moment to enjoy.

i hope it came to stay. soft, white, fresh. first signs of winter. looks pure and peaceful. changes the light, the sounds, the atmosphere. when i go to bed, i can feel it outside, falling slowly like the sand of dreams on my eyes….good night!

Happy halloween!

I like halloween. For me, it is the perfect excuse to decorate the house in black and orange. Lately, we have been extremely busy (in the spanish side and in the finnish side). However, the halloween mood is here. I always buy new stuff every year and share with my sister, who sometimes is scared about the content (one year was full of insects for decoration). This time, I keep it simple and I guess the cookie cutter and the spooky ribbons made her happy. For me, spiders.

We try to keep Etsy alive (please, visit our new kits) and we got new materials. Red and black will be nice to work during this halloween week and combine with our special skulls and starts.
